Privacy policy
Short version: the only personal data this website collects is what you type into the contact form, and it is used solely to reply to you.
Who is responsible

What is collected
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, plus optionally your company, phone number and the topic you selected.
- Technical data stored with a submission: your browser user agent, the referring page, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash exists only to rate-limit spam; the raw IP address is never stored.
- Server logs: your hosting provider keeps standard access logs, rotated automatically.
Cookies
This site sets one strictly necessary session cookie, used to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery. There is no advertising, profiling or third-party analytics cookie on this website, so no consent banner is required.
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when you open a page. If you would rather that did not happen, the fonts can be self-hosted on request.
Legal basis and retention
Form data is processed on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6.1.b) and legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6.1.f). Enquiries are kept for as long as they may still be relevant to a commercial relationship, and no longer than 3 years after the last contact, unless a contract requires otherwise.
Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. It sits in a SQLite database on the website’s own hosting and is emailed to nico@maxso.be. Processors involved are the hosting provider and the email provider, both within the EU where possible.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to its processing. Mail nico@maxso.be and it will be handled within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
