Freelance Digital Marketing & IT Consultancy — Blankenberge, Belgium
Your website should be your best salesperson. Most aren't even showing up for work.
Slow pages, a site nobody finds on Google, tracking that stopped working two years ago, tools that don't talk to each other. I'm Nico De Muynck, and I fix exactly that for Belgian businesses — as one freelancer who does both the marketing and the tech, not an agency that hands you off to three juniors.
The problem
You know something is off. You just can't tell what.
Almost every business I meet is stuck on one of these five. If two or more sound familiar, there is quick, cheap ground to recover.
-
Nobody finds you on Google
Your competitor ranks for the search that should be yours. Not because they are better — because their pages are structured for it and yours are not.
-
The site looks fine, but nothing happens
Traffic comes in, no one calls. Usually a missing offer, a buried contact form, or a page that takes six seconds to load on 4G.
-
Your numbers are guesswork
GA4 half-installed, conversions not tracked, ad spend judged on gut feel. You cannot improve what you are not measuring.
-
Your tools don't talk to each other
Webshop, mailing list, bookkeeping and stock all live in separate boxes, and someone copies data between them by hand every week.
-
Nobody owns your IT
Hosting, domains, backups, mailboxes, ageing hardware. Fine until the day it isn't, and then nobody knows where the passwords are.
-
Your last agency ghosted you
A big retainer, a slow account manager, and no one who can actually open the code. Sound familiar?
The fix
One freelancer who covers the marketing and the tech.
Most problems above sit exactly on the seam between marketing and IT — which is why agencies and IT shops keep pointing at each other. I work on both sides of that seam, so nothing falls through it.
Services
What I can take off your plate
-
01
Websites & webshops
Fast, SEO-ready sites that load in under a second and are built to be edited. WordPress, Shopify, or hand-written PHP when a CMS would only get in the way.
-
02
SEO & local search
Technical audit, keyword and intent research, on-page work, structured data, and a Google Business Profile that actually pulls in customers from your region.
-
03
Google & Meta advertising
Campaigns built around what people are actually searching for, with conversion tracking that works — so you can see what a euro of ad spend returns.
-
04
Analytics & tracking
GA4, Google Tag Manager, server-side and consent-mode tracking done properly, plus a dashboard that answers "is this working?" in ten seconds.
-
05
Automation & integrations
Connect your shop, CRM, mailing list and admin so data moves by itself. The weekly copy-paste job becomes a thing that just happens.
-
06
IT consultancy & lifecycle
Hosting, domains, mailboxes, backups, security hygiene and hardware end-of-life planning — the unglamorous work that keeps you out of trouble.
How we work
No 40-page proposal. Four steps.
-
1
Free intake call
Thirty minutes. You explain the business, I ask uncomfortable questions and tell you honestly whether I am the right person.
-
2
Audit & plan
I look at your site, tracking, rankings and stack, then send a short document: what is broken, what it costs you, what I would do first.
-
3
Build
Fixed scope and fixed price per project, or a set number of days per month. You always know what you are paying for.
-
4
Measure & iterate
Monthly numbers in plain language. What moved, what did not, what we do next month.

About
Hi, I'm Nico.
I run MAXSO from Blankenberge on the Belgian coast. For over a decade I have worked on both sides of the digital fence: marketing that has to produce numbers, and the systems underneath that have to keep running.
That combination is the whole point. I can rewrite your page titles in the morning and debug why your server is dropping requests in the afternoon — and I understand why the second one is destroying the first.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means you get the person who did the work, not an account manager relaying messages. If a job is not a good fit, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
FAQ
Questions people ask before booking
What does it cost?
Projects are quoted at a fixed price after the audit, so there are no surprises. Ongoing work is sold in days per month rather than a vague retainer. Small fixes are often a single day. You will get a number before anything starts.
Do you only work with businesses in West Flanders?
No. I am based in Blankenberge and happy to visit clients along the coast, in Bruges, Ghent and Kortrijk, but most work happens remotely and I have clients elsewhere in Belgium and abroad.
I already have a website. Do you have to rebuild it?
Usually not. In most cases a technical clean-up, better structure and working tracking outperform a full rebuild at a fraction of the cost. I only recommend rebuilding when the existing platform is genuinely holding you back.
Can you take over from my current agency?
Yes, and it happens often. I will make sure the domains, hosting, ad accounts and analytics properties are in your name first — that is the single most common thing businesses discover they never had.
Do you do IT support and hardware too?
I do consultancy: hosting, domains, mail, backups, security hygiene, and planning hardware replacement before support runs out. For day-to-day helpdesk on a large fleet I will refer you to a partner rather than pretend to be one.
What languages do you work in?
Dutch and English, both fluently. French for written work.
